The Secret Place

Whenever I worship at church or home I can count on hearing God speak to me.  Or sometimes it occurs during the day when I am going about my business as usual and all of a sudden a thought will come and something will come together that blesses my soul.  The old song "I hear music and there's no one there" is a good description of what is taking place.  Often I will wake up with a song going through my mind and I will sing it out.  God speaks in so many ways.  I have been praying to have "an ear to hear" what Holy Spirit is saying.   It is happening.  I can't say I am always alert and responsive but more and more I am becoming that way.  There is a continual flow from the throne of God that we can tap in to.  Our spirit man is where it is heard and acknowledged so if we are in the flesh, often we do not hear.  But we can still go about and do things in the natural and have our spirit alert.  It takes practice and a knowledge that we can approach God boldly.  There are no barriers or condemnation because of the blood of Jesus.  The veil is rent.  "There is therefore no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit.  For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus has made us free from the law of sin and death."
Romans 8: 1,2

This week someone was needing prayer and I saw a vivid picture of a child clinging to the robe and legs of Jesus.  I began meditating on that vision.  Oh how I want to cling to the Master that way.  He invites us to run to Him and do that.  We can do that in prayer when we are overwhelmed, much like a child would cling to the skirts of its mother.  Several scriptures came to mind with this vision.  One was in Isaiah 6 with the vision of the Lord the prophet had. "I saw the Lord sitting upon the throne, high and lifted up, and his train filled the temple."  His train means his robe, hem or skirt in the Hebrew.  I believe as we worship together the glory can come down and fill the temple.  One day I want to see it with these eyes. But I believe as we are worshiping we are gathering in His robes.  Hallelujah!  The other scripture was one about Jesus as he went about healing the people. "And when the men of that place had knowledge of him they sent out into all that country round about, and brought to him all that were diseased. And besought him that they might only touch the hem of his garment: and as many as touched were made perfectly whole". Matthew 14:35,36.  Now that is what I think of when I touch the garment of the Lord, in prayer, in worship.

I love Psalms 91 and Sunday morning I felt such a drawing of the Spirit of God to come into the Presence.  "He that dwelleth in the secret place of the Most High, shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty."  I love to read the whole Psalm. It is so reassuring.  The condition is that we dwell or abide with Him.  "He covers me with His feathers and under His wings I will trust".  I have such a desire to make Him my dwelling place.  And yet He is inside me, I have continual access in the Spirit.  He is drawing us saints, into the secret place, the closet Jesus talks about and had personal experience with.  He drew aside frequently to gain strength and wisdom and direction. How much more do we need to do that.  Oh there is such a sweet presence that happens and I believe we are close to seeing it corporately as we pray and worship Him together.

Grace and Peace,

Watching Israel

I can tell you when I see news about Israel I perk up like our dog does when she hears a noise or senses something different is happening.  It is called alertness.  Right now it looks like the war has begun in Israel and is escalating.  We are not sure what direction this will go but so far Washington is pretty quiet on this one.

Oh, how we need to give attention to the things that are going on in this world that point to kingdom happenings. I am talking about the kingdom of God.  The world is in turmoil.  Their have been hot spots all around but right now it is in Israel.  Israel is still the apple of God's eye.

"He who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the churches." Spoken in Revelation by our Lord to the churches.  Do we have and ear to hear?  Are our spiritual ears listening to the heart of God?  I want to be there. He says "the Spirit" says to the church...Holy Spirit who is in us if we are born again.  Oh Lord, give us ears to hear.  He wants us to not be caught unawares.  The word I am hearing now is PREPARATION.  We need to prepare, no matter what we believe is going to happen.  In John 16:13 Jesus says "When the Spirit of truth comes He will guide you into all truth and show you things to come". So Holy Spirit is there to show us the truth and also reveal what is ahead of us.  But we must listen.  He won't give us more than we can handle but will reveal day by day what we need to know.  That is why we must go to Him daily and ask, keep on asking, seek, keep on seeking and knock, keep on knocking on the door.  It will be opened to us to know and understand.  I believe there are physical preparations and spiritual preparations that need to be made for what is ahead of us.  Not to be in fear, that is one of the greatest spiritual preparations to be made.  "Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid." John 14:1.

Things are going to change and we need to be ready.  People of God, we are most blessed.  We have inside information if we seek it through the Word and Holy Spirit.  God lays out His plan in the Word.  He carries it out by Holy Spirit and His people.

Bless the Lord, O my Soul, O my Soul, worship His Holy Name.

The Blood will never loose it's power

By now we are all recovering after the election and settling in on future perspectives.  Some may be happy, others not so much.  I have chosen to rejoice and have personally committed to pray for our president and legislature.  Folks, we must give ourselves to prayer on their behalf if we are to see better days ahead.  I believe we have some hard times ahead, but never before have I felt the anticipation of what God is about to do.  I attended a service last night where a wonderful prophetic woman was ministering and it totally blessed me.  She spoke on the blood of Jesus and then prayed for the people attending.  We need the revelation of what that shedding of blood means to us.  We are redeemed!  We can always rejoice in that.  The Lamb that shed His blood is in heaven at the right hand of the Father ever interceding for us.  He is ready at the appointed time to take the Book and open the seals that will be the beginning of the end of time as we know it.  He is coming back for His bride!  Just as He lived, died, rose again and ascended into heaven, He assured the disciples He would come back to get us.  Have you ever been left waiting for someone to pick you up and they were late?  It can be so frustrating and disconcerting, not knowing if something has happened to them or if they have forgotten you.  I have been in that situation many times.  I could feel my blood pressure rising and would have to get a hold of myself to keep from being worried or angry.  Well, I can assure you from the Word of God that one day the clouds will part and He will come!  Just like the parable of the virgins, however, He may be delayed.  Only the Father knows the day or the hour but I believe we can know the season.  In Thessalonians it tells us we are not to be in darkness about His return as we are children of the light.  So once again I admonish all of us to be watchful, be prayerful and rejoice in His soon return.  In the mean time there is much work to do.  Let us be about the Father's business. Let us not grow weary in well doing.  When Jesus left He said He would not leave us comfortless. Precious Holy Spirit is our comforter, guide, advocate, encourager and friend.  He will guide us to truth.  We must depend on Him until the return of our Lord.

What will we do?

As I have been reflecting on the election and what will happen as a result, I am reminded that we can rejoice however it turns out.  What? you say.  I have an idea and a prompting about the outcome, and I am contending for righteousness all the way, however I am prepared to "continue in supplications, prayers, intercessions and giving of thanks be made for all men; for kings and all who are in authority that we may lead  a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and honesty" I Timothy 2: 1,2.  I have to confess I have not always done this and want to be more diligent in this area. My thoughts and words have not been good and acceptable to the Savior at all times.  But I am committed to do better.  Please join with me no matter the outcome. Jesus is our Savior, not man, not government.  The government is on His shoulders. One day He will reign but until then we are to reign in righteousness.  Holy Spirit of Truth, help us.

WE, the body of Christ, united in God's purpose and plan, can change things.  It's not by might nor power but by MY SPIRIT says the Lord.  Mostly I have grown tired of the division the political climate has caused.  The enemy comes to divide and if he can divide the body, that is enough to defeat us.

Pray the truth will be made known to people; that Holy Spirit will hover over the polling places and no deceit will have its way.  Go and exercise your right to vote, thanking God for the privilege. As you go, make your prayers known and rejoice in the Lord!  I feel so strongly about this.  Make it a worship experience unto the Lord that He reigns and He will cause this country to be a light to the nations.  As I write this I am feeling the anointing.  It only takes a few to turn the tide.

Blessings,
Candy
