We Have Heard

What a wonderful time of expectancy this is as our celebration of the Lord's birth approaches.  I don't know when I have felt this special feeling quite like now.  There is a precious sweetness in the story we have heard so many times.  All the wondrous things that took place around the time of Jesus' birth continue to amaze me.

At that time many were hoping and wondering if the Messiah was ever going to appear.  There were those like Anna who had prayed for years for the appearing and Simeon who was assured he would live to see the Lord's Christ. People were praying for His coming.

Of course there was Mary, the obedient maiden who spoke "Let it be done unto me according to your word" and Joseph who was instructed by a dream to care for Mary and the child. The prophecy was fulfilled for Jesus to be born in the city of David, Bethlehem.

The shepherds were first to hear the news announced by the heavenly hosts.  Angels played an incredible part in this event from the announcement to Zacharias about the forerunner of Jesus (John the Baptist), to Mary's encounter and Joseph's dream.  The shepherds were terribly frightened at the scene but when they settled down they decided to go find the baby.  The place of birth being a stable, so appropriate for who was to be the Lamb of God.  So appropriate for shepherds to be told the good news and begin spreading it abroad.  They related to everyone the events as they happened and praised and glorified God for what they had seen and heard.

We have heard the good news.  Can we not relate it to those around us, especially in this season of miracles?  So many ways to be distracted from the wonderful miraculous story.  Let's plan special times with family and friends to talk about the amazing gift of our Savior. Read the story again and ask Holy Spirit to make it fresh and new.

My prayer is for a spirit of expectancy to overtake us during this season.  Let us be filled with expectant vital faith in the One who came in such a humble way.

Glory to God in the highest! And on earth peace and good will toward men.
Have a miraculous blessed Christmas.

The Secret Place

Whenever I worship at church or home I can count on hearing God speak to me.  Or sometimes it occurs during the day when I am going about my business as usual and all of a sudden a thought will come and something will come together that blesses my soul.  The old song "I hear music and there's no one there" is a good description of what is taking place.  Often I will wake up with a song going through my mind and I will sing it out.  God speaks in so many ways.  I have been praying to have "an ear to hear" what Holy Spirit is saying.   It is happening.  I can't say I am always alert and responsive but more and more I am becoming that way.  There is a continual flow from the throne of God that we can tap in to.  Our spirit man is where it is heard and acknowledged so if we are in the flesh, often we do not hear.  But we can still go about and do things in the natural and have our spirit alert.  It takes practice and a knowledge that we can approach God boldly.  There are no barriers or condemnation because of the blood of Jesus.  The veil is rent.  "There is therefore no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit.  For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus has made us free from the law of sin and death."
Romans 8: 1,2

This week someone was needing prayer and I saw a vivid picture of a child clinging to the robe and legs of Jesus.  I began meditating on that vision.  Oh how I want to cling to the Master that way.  He invites us to run to Him and do that.  We can do that in prayer when we are overwhelmed, much like a child would cling to the skirts of its mother.  Several scriptures came to mind with this vision.  One was in Isaiah 6 with the vision of the Lord the prophet had. "I saw the Lord sitting upon the throne, high and lifted up, and his train filled the temple."  His train means his robe, hem or skirt in the Hebrew.  I believe as we worship together the glory can come down and fill the temple.  One day I want to see it with these eyes. But I believe as we are worshiping we are gathering in His robes.  Hallelujah!  The other scripture was one about Jesus as he went about healing the people. "And when the men of that place had knowledge of him they sent out into all that country round about, and brought to him all that were diseased. And besought him that they might only touch the hem of his garment: and as many as touched were made perfectly whole". Matthew 14:35,36.  Now that is what I think of when I touch the garment of the Lord, in prayer, in worship.

I love Psalms 91 and Sunday morning I felt such a drawing of the Spirit of God to come into the Presence.  "He that dwelleth in the secret place of the Most High, shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty."  I love to read the whole Psalm. It is so reassuring.  The condition is that we dwell or abide with Him.  "He covers me with His feathers and under His wings I will trust".  I have such a desire to make Him my dwelling place.  And yet He is inside me, I have continual access in the Spirit.  He is drawing us saints, into the secret place, the closet Jesus talks about and had personal experience with.  He drew aside frequently to gain strength and wisdom and direction. How much more do we need to do that.  Oh there is such a sweet presence that happens and I believe we are close to seeing it corporately as we pray and worship Him together.

Grace and Peace,

Watching Israel

I can tell you when I see news about Israel I perk up like our dog does when she hears a noise or senses something different is happening.  It is called alertness.  Right now it looks like the war has begun in Israel and is escalating.  We are not sure what direction this will go but so far Washington is pretty quiet on this one.

Oh, how we need to give attention to the things that are going on in this world that point to kingdom happenings. I am talking about the kingdom of God.  The world is in turmoil.  Their have been hot spots all around but right now it is in Israel.  Israel is still the apple of God's eye.

"He who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the churches." Spoken in Revelation by our Lord to the churches.  Do we have and ear to hear?  Are our spiritual ears listening to the heart of God?  I want to be there. He says "the Spirit" says to the church...Holy Spirit who is in us if we are born again.  Oh Lord, give us ears to hear.  He wants us to not be caught unawares.  The word I am hearing now is PREPARATION.  We need to prepare, no matter what we believe is going to happen.  In John 16:13 Jesus says "When the Spirit of truth comes He will guide you into all truth and show you things to come". So Holy Spirit is there to show us the truth and also reveal what is ahead of us.  But we must listen.  He won't give us more than we can handle but will reveal day by day what we need to know.  That is why we must go to Him daily and ask, keep on asking, seek, keep on seeking and knock, keep on knocking on the door.  It will be opened to us to know and understand.  I believe there are physical preparations and spiritual preparations that need to be made for what is ahead of us.  Not to be in fear, that is one of the greatest spiritual preparations to be made.  "Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid." John 14:1.

Things are going to change and we need to be ready.  People of God, we are most blessed.  We have inside information if we seek it through the Word and Holy Spirit.  God lays out His plan in the Word.  He carries it out by Holy Spirit and His people.

Bless the Lord, O my Soul, O my Soul, worship His Holy Name.

The Blood will never loose it's power

By now we are all recovering after the election and settling in on future perspectives.  Some may be happy, others not so much.  I have chosen to rejoice and have personally committed to pray for our president and legislature.  Folks, we must give ourselves to prayer on their behalf if we are to see better days ahead.  I believe we have some hard times ahead, but never before have I felt the anticipation of what God is about to do.  I attended a service last night where a wonderful prophetic woman was ministering and it totally blessed me.  She spoke on the blood of Jesus and then prayed for the people attending.  We need the revelation of what that shedding of blood means to us.  We are redeemed!  We can always rejoice in that.  The Lamb that shed His blood is in heaven at the right hand of the Father ever interceding for us.  He is ready at the appointed time to take the Book and open the seals that will be the beginning of the end of time as we know it.  He is coming back for His bride!  Just as He lived, died, rose again and ascended into heaven, He assured the disciples He would come back to get us.  Have you ever been left waiting for someone to pick you up and they were late?  It can be so frustrating and disconcerting, not knowing if something has happened to them or if they have forgotten you.  I have been in that situation many times.  I could feel my blood pressure rising and would have to get a hold of myself to keep from being worried or angry.  Well, I can assure you from the Word of God that one day the clouds will part and He will come!  Just like the parable of the virgins, however, He may be delayed.  Only the Father knows the day or the hour but I believe we can know the season.  In Thessalonians it tells us we are not to be in darkness about His return as we are children of the light.  So once again I admonish all of us to be watchful, be prayerful and rejoice in His soon return.  In the mean time there is much work to do.  Let us be about the Father's business. Let us not grow weary in well doing.  When Jesus left He said He would not leave us comfortless. Precious Holy Spirit is our comforter, guide, advocate, encourager and friend.  He will guide us to truth.  We must depend on Him until the return of our Lord.

Blessings,
Candy

What will we do?

As I have been reflecting on the election and what will happen as a result, I am reminded that we can rejoice however it turns out.  What? you say.  I have an idea and a prompting about the outcome, and I am contending for righteousness all the way, however I am prepared to "continue in supplications, prayers, intercessions and giving of thanks be made for all men; for kings and all who are in authority that we may lead  a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and honesty" I Timothy 2: 1,2.  I have to confess I have not always done this and want to be more diligent in this area. My thoughts and words have not been good and acceptable to the Savior at all times.  But I am committed to do better.  Please join with me no matter the outcome. Jesus is our Savior, not man, not government.  The government is on His shoulders. One day He will reign but until then we are to reign in righteousness.  Holy Spirit of Truth, help us.

WE, the body of Christ, united in God's purpose and plan, can change things.  It's not by might nor power but by MY SPIRIT says the Lord.  Mostly I have grown tired of the division the political climate has caused.  The enemy comes to divide and if he can divide the body, that is enough to defeat us.

Pray the truth will be made known to people; that Holy Spirit will hover over the polling places and no deceit will have its way.  Go and exercise your right to vote, thanking God for the privilege. As you go, make your prayers known and rejoice in the Lord!  I feel so strongly about this.  Make it a worship experience unto the Lord that He reigns and He will cause this country to be a light to the nations.  As I write this I am feeling the anointing.  It only takes a few to turn the tide.

Blessings,
Candy

Prayer Alert!

I'm sure by now everyone is aware of the storm headed for America's east coast.  A lot of times we get in a place and think, well it's not effecting me so I'm not going to give it much thought.  I can tell you that this could be another major hit to America.  I have had such a quickening to pray about this situation.  At the least it can be another big hit to our economy.  The disasters are happening more frequently and closer together.  Our F.E.M.A. teams are being stretched to the max.  The other thing that has been utmost on my heart is how will it effect the election.  Folks we need to pray about this. There is much potential for many lives to be touched in disastrous ways.  It looks like it is going to hit the most populated area of our country as well as our high governmental offices.  Is this another harbinger or warning to America?  I am not sure but I want to pray according to the will of God on this matter.

So how do we determine what to pray? If this is God's judgment, do we pray against it?  I have searched my heart and can only know God has the best plans for us.  However if His hand of blessing is removed because we no longer acknowledge Him then we can expect the consequences. "He that dwelleth in the secret place of the Most High, shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty". Ps. 91:1.(read the whole chapter) Have we as a nation removed ourselves from the blessings of God?  "Blessed is the nation whose God is the Lord, a people whom he has chosen for his own inheritance". Ps. 33:12

When I pray, I try to be mindful of first listening to the Holy Spirit. I have to tell you I have not always done this.  I presumed to know what His will was in some situations and prayed from my soul, instead of my spirit.  Romans 8:26,27.  When we don't know how to pray as we ought, Holy Spirit does. He is our helper.  We can pray in the spirit, then pray with the understanding.  He who searches the hearts knows what the mind of the Spirit is because he intercedes for the saints according to the will of God. So we go before the Father in the name of the Son, asking what His will is in this situation and pray accordingly.  Holy Spirit may give each of us different things to pray.  One may pray for the protection of people, salvation of people, another may pray with authority over the storm, that there will be a turning of it, a weakening of it, etc.  Someone else may pray for people to awaken from their complacency and turn to God.  We each may get different things, but I can guarantee if we get the mind of the Spirit on this we can pray according to God's will and things will change.  How many examples in the Bible are there where God warned of judgment or other catastrophes and someone was there to stand in the gap and change a direction? Many examples are in the Word. I think of Abraham when he was speaking to the Lord about Sodom and Gomorrah. "If there are 50 righteous will you spare the city? How about ten?" Do you realize that the righteous in the city or nation can stop the judgment of God? I wonder if Abraham had decreased that number if God would have relented.  As it was Lot and his wife and daughters escaped. If we can't pray anything else, crying "Mercy!" sounds pretty good to me.

We are living in a time where we can see what is going on in the world. It gives us a greater responsibility in our prayer lives. We can advance the kingdom of God by our prayers.

Please join me in praying about this storm and the election outcome.  We need America restored to her original purpose, so we can be a light to the nations. Body of Christ, ARISE!

Grace and peace,
Candy

Correction made

Just to let everyone know, I corrected my statement about the number of abortions in America since Roe vs. Wade in 1973.  I had put 15 million for some reason and it is actually 54 million.  I was thinking of the national debt which is 15 trillion and counting.  Sorry for the mistake. At any rate it is a staggering number.  Please consider what is happening in our country as a result...the lives that have been effected including our own.  I watched a series on PBS about World War II and saw that in our country there was not one person who was not touched by that tragic war.  Over 60 million people in the world were killed. That was 2.5 % of the population.  Just think about it. Please pray for the end of this greatest holocaust.

On my heart

I wanted to share something that has been on my heart for a long time.  I have not posted my political opinions on Facebook or on my blogs because I don't like how it brings division and polarization to friends and family.  That doesn't mean I don't have an opinion or will not use my right to vote come November.  But I felt the Lord telling me to stay focused on praying for the advancement of the kingdom of God in my prayers.  "Thy kingdom come, thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven", as Jesus said in His model prayer.

As many know I was in a nursing career for 33 years or so, the last 7 years specializing in labor and delivery.  I assisted and helped with many births during that time and since then.  Friends and family have asked for me to be there for their children, grandchildren, etc.  My wonderful privilege was to be a part of those many miracles. I have also attended many deaths, some very traumatic, and some though tearful, hope transcended.  Life is so precious.  What a wonderful gift our Creator God gave us to procreate of our kind.

My heart is very heavy over the hidden holocaust that has caused 54 million lives in America to be terminated before ever being allowed to take their first breath.  Recently I watched a movie "October Baby" which very respectfully showed the pain and heartbreak abortion brings to so many lives.  It also showed the value of each one's life and the grace and forgiveness that is available to all through the Lord Jesus Christ.

People, what has happened to us to allow this to happen in our country?  I remember in 1973 when the Roe vs Wade came before the Supreme Court and all of a sudden abortion was legal.  We have explained it away by saying women have rights, women need to be protected, etc.  So misinterpreted.  What about the untold million babies that had no right to life?  I realize we cannot legislate morality. Should we continue to legislate killing our unborn? CHANGE NEEDED NOW!  Values come from the heart that knows God.  We need to know our God and His incredible love for His creation.  The fear of Him needs to once again permeate our lives.

I am urging everyone to examine their heart in regard to this matter and consider the destiny of America as seen through God's eyes.  Pray about how to vote. Ask Holy Spirit of Truth to reveal truth to you. I know many who already know how they will vote. We all need to pray for the truth to be revealed to the public.  The media is biased and we cannot depend on the reports that come.  We will have to hear from God about the truth.  For some it is very plain to see where our vote should go.

"Forgive us Lord for ignoring this holocaust and doing nothing about it. Forgive those who have participated in any way for 'they know not what they do'.  Reveal Your truth to us and show us how to vote in the upcoming election. Thy kingdom come, thy will be done, on earth as it is in Heaven.
Amen."

My husband and I were talking this morning about the times we are in.  It ended up with our praying and taking communion in our home.  How often do we go through our traditions and really understand what they mean to us?  Our God is a covenant keeping God.  He established His truths on covenant relationship.  I looked up the word in the dictionary.

Covenant : 1.a usually formal, solemn, and binding agreement : compact
2 : a written agreement or promise usually under seal between two or more parties especially for the performance of some action

The Hebrew word means "cutting". Covenants then were sealed with blood.

From our Father God the covenant was sealed with the blood of His son, the Lord Jesus Christ.  If you study about the blood covenant it is all through our Bible from Adam to Jesus. The covenant is written in the Holy Word of God.  It started with the slaying of an animal in the garden following the first sinful act of Adam and Eve.  "Without the shedding of blood there is no remission of sin." Hebrews 9:22. God killed and animal to cover their nakedness.  Why did God do things this way?  I am not sure. I just know it was an amazing act of love and grace for us to receive eternal life.

When we celebrate communion, we are acknowledging the covenant made by God for us to be a part of the kingdom of God. Nothing we can do... " For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God, not of works, lest anyone should boast. Ephesians 2:8
I realize many people only observe communion in the church services, but we believe it is our privilege and admonition to observe anywhere and any time we desire to remember the wonderful work Jesus did for us on the cross.

Israel applied the blood of the lamb to their doorposts in Egypt before their deliverance from bondage.  They not only escaped death on the night of deliverance but left Egypt whole, no feeble among them, and with their hands full of gold and precious things from the Egyptians. This Passover is still celebrated every year by Jewish believers.  Read about it in Exodus
.
Now in this time of darkness should we not observe the fulfillment of that covenant in our homes by taking communion? We are remembering the Passover Lamb, our Jesus, and what He did by giving himself for sacrifice.  Thanks be to God for His wonderful Gift!

Got Oil?

Hello to all who wish to know about the time we are living in.  This parable of the ten virgins can be pretty frightening to those who are uninformed about the second coming of the Lord Jesus Christ.  I certainly cannot say I know about it all.  I have heard many interpretations, explanations and doctrinal opinions about this event. But I have come to realize it is each one's responsibility to learn about it from the Word of God and Holy Spirit.

This blog is about relationship with the Creator and Savoir of our soul.  Every year we who profess to be Christians celebrate Christmas and Resurrection Sunday (Easter).  But do we really know what we are celebrating?  Do we know who we are celebrating?  There is another event coming if we are believers in the Christ.  He is coming back to get us.  It could be any day.  Are we looking to His return? Jesus said in Matthew 25:37-39  "But as the days of Noah were, so also will the coming of the Son of Man be.
For as in the days before the flood, they were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, until the day that Noah entered the ark, and did not know until the flood came and took them all away, so also will the coming of the Son of Man be.

This year I have especially been seeking the Lord about the times we are living in.  I have been trying to hear what He has to say.  There are so many families in crisis. Our nation has gone downhill for a long time, leaving the principles on which we were founded.  The economy is being held up by a house of cards.  Humpty Dumpty has had a great fall and he can't get up or be fixed. All the kings horses and all the kings men can't put Humpty together again.  America, America God shed His grace on Thee... They say we are no longer a Christian nation!  From the looks of the moral climate and fractured families I must agree.  Shootings and freaky weather, stock market crashes, bank bail outs, drought, people killing each other, these are common happenings now. Are they warnings from a gracious wonderful God who holds our future?  I don't consider myself a doom and gloom person but I don't want to sit with my head in the sand either.  Is there hope? Is there an answer? Emphatically, yes!

People must turn to God. The one true God, Creator, Father of us all who made a way for our salvation through Jesus Christ His son.  The purpose of this blog is to encourage people to seek Him, turn to Him. It is also to raise up watchmen and prayer warriors.  Jesus loves me this I know....I have known him now for 60 years. He is everything to me.  He wants to bless our country and has blessed our country in so many ways.  I would encourage you to read a book "The Harbinger" by Jonathan Cahn. It is about warnings and prophecies in regard to America.

Grace and Peace,
Candy Kloxin
